Winter has Arrived; So What’s the Problem?

Before I get to Winter, lets talk Fall! I think it arrived this year, but I can’t make any guarantees.  The trees appeared soooo confused. My daughter’s wedding mid- October at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA  www.fruitlands.org,   should have been a backdrop of vibrant colors, instead a canopy of green… still stunningly beautiful, but truly off course from the norm.  The foliage this year was just all over the map with some trees in full color next to ones still green while others were post color with leaves in their dying phase.  Gee could it have anything to do that we were having weather in the 70s in November? SOOOO glad to hear that Trump feels there is no climate change. I think Fall arrived this year.
Which brings me to Winter in New England.  Usually we are eased into winter with a gradual Fall weather moving closer to the freezing point.  Guess what? Winter has arrived, and pretty much on schedule.  Unfortunately we got hit hard and fast this year. I enjoy Winter actually, but it’s the main complaint I hear about living here.  Winter is cold, true…but I find it a bit refreshing. Okay, yes it can last a little too long, get messy and dirty, but compared to other weather related possibilities I am not complaining.
I mean come on now… let’s be honest living in New England is not so bad.  While other parts of the country have to deal with the likes of forest fires, mud slides, potential earthquakes, floods, drought, tornados, crazy reptiles & insects and scorching heat… we have WINTER!
Winter allows us some nice options too.  Just think, what other weather conditions offer us non-guilt napping, a chance to change up our fashion look, cozy fires, fun sports, invigorating feeling, a time to catch up on hobbies & reading, and there is nothing like the smell in the air as you walk through a fresh dry snow in a pine forest… not to mention that true feeling of anticipation and excitement of the approaching Spring season!!!!  Winter has arrived; so what’s the problem?

Long story short: I started with Lyft (4) years ago as a sabbatical from enterprise B2B sales. I did not like Lyft for some of their policies and the way they ran their business so, I switched to Uber which I prefer for many reasons. I have found driving for Uber in Boston to be one of the most engaging gigs I have ever experienced.
